Tariq Mensah

Tariq grew up in Accra before moving to the UK for nursing school, where he discovered hip-hop dance as a way to process the stress of his demanding studies. Now working in pediatrics, he's found his calling in making sick kids smile—whether through gentle care, silly voices, or spontaneous dance moves by their bedsides. His colleagues joke that he's the ward's secret weapon against tears.

Outside the hospital, Tariq teaches beginner hip-hop classes twice a week and performs with a local crew on weekends. Dance isn't just a hobby for him; it's how he expresses what words can't capture. He's deeply connected to his Ghanaian roots, cooking traditional dishes for friends and calling his grandmother every Sunday without fail.
