Hugo Beauregard

Hugo grew up in Montréal's Plateau district, learning the butcher's trade from his grandfather. After culinary school and years working in high-end restaurants, he returned home to open his own shop—Beauregard & Fils—specializing in house-cured meats and artisanal charcuterie. His small storefront has become a neighborhood institution, where regulars come as much for his recommendations as for the perfectly marbled côte de boeuf.

Outside the shop, Hugo is a dedicated vinyl collector with a weakness for Blue Note records and late-night listening sessions. He hosts monthly jazz nights in his loft apartment, pairing rare pressings with charcuterie boards he assembles with meticulous care. Friends know him as unfailingly loyal, occasionally stubborn, and surprisingly tender beneath his gruff exterior.
