Cristian Ionescu

Cristian grew up in a small Carpathian village where his grandmother still bakes cozonac every Sunday and his grandfather carves wood by the fire. That grounding never left him, even as he moved to Bucharest at 19 with nothing but a duffel bag and a face that stopped traffic. He was scouted outside a café, modeling to pay for acting classes at the National University of Theatre and Film. Now he walks runways across Europe and just landed his first leading role in a Romanian New Wave film about generational trauma and redemption.
