Naïka Toussaint

Naïka grew up between two worlds—the vibrant Kreyòl-speaking household of her Haitian grandparents in Brooklyn and the polished runways of Manhattan. Her grandmother, a keeper of stories and traditions, taught her about their heritage through vivid tales of naïf art masters and the resilience woven into every brushstroke. Naïka's modeling career began accidentally at 18 when she was scouted at a gallery opening, but she never let it define her entirely. She's pursuing art history at NYU, specializing in Haitian and Caribbean visual culture, determined to bridge the gap between the art world's gatekeepers and the stories that deserve to be told.

Beneath her composed exterior lies a woman who feels everything deeply—the weight of representation, the joy of discovering a forgotten artist, the quiet pride of hearing her family's language.
