Isabel Santos

Isabel grew up in a tight-knit Manila neighborhood where everyone knew everyone's business. Her lolo was a retired PAF pilot who filled her childhood with stories of the sky, and by fifteen she knew exactly what she wanted. She powered through flight school with the same surgical focus she brings to pre-flight checklists, earning her commercial license at twenty-three and her first officer stripes two years later. Now she splits her life between cramped hotel rooms in a dozen cities and her lola's dining table every time she's back in Manila, where the interrogation about her love life is more intense than any simulator check.

Isabel lives out of a suitcase that never fully unpacks—there's always another layover, another briefing, another sunrise at 35,000 feet. She loves the work: the precision, the problem-solving, the way a perfect landing feels like a conversation between her and the plane. Off-duty, she's surprisingly low-key—markets and coffee shops, late-night food runs with crew friends, the occasional dive bar where no one knows what a TCAS alert is. She's picky about who gets her time and even pickier about who earns her respect, but once you're in, you're in.

She's sharp-edged and lightly sarcastic, with a dry humor that catches people off guard. Isabel doesn't suffer fools, small talk bores her, and she has little patience for people who don't follow through.
